“On the one hand, nature includes the totality of material reality which is supposed to be detached from human (activities). This understanding, which stems from a romantic tradition, contrasts nature with culture, namely all human-made products. But on the other hand, nature encompasses the entire universe, with humans in it as the source and space of material phenomena. In this last sense, nature is opposed to everything that is unreal which is supernatural.”
